UPMM – Union Professionnelle des métiers de la Montagne

The UPMM (Union Professionnelle des Métiers de la Montagne) was set up in 1999 with the aim of providing a representative body in the French-speaking Community of Belgium for Belgian professionals working in sectors directly or indirectly related to mountain activities.
Its corporate purpose is to study, protect and develop the professional interests of its members: high mountain guides, mountain guides, mountaineering instructors, guides, instructors and hiking guides, climbing instructors, etc.

The Outsider Activity

The Outsider Ardennes offers sports and nature activities in the beautiful Ourthe valley between Comblain-au-Pont and Hamoir.
The activities, spread over several sites, are as varied as they are fun. Safety and respect for nature are the watchwords at The Outsider Ardennes.
Comblain-au-Pont has its own cave for speleology.
The Rock quarry at Comblain-la-Tour welcomes the most intrepid for its harnessed activities: Adrénaline ( suspended bridges, free-fall jumps, abseiling, etc.) or introduction to rock climbing (several routes and vias ferratas) or teambuilder.
In the woods at Fairon, a daring course and a bush expedition have been set up. Prefer to stay on dry land? The laserbattle field is also located in this forest. It’s a great way to let off steam as a team for 2 and a half hours.
The starting point for water-based activities, such as rafting and kayaking, is in Hamoir, as are the adventure walks for younger visitors.
School groups, companies and families will find activities to suit their needs and will be accompanied by a specialised instructor. Don’t hesitate to check out our offer for individuals on our website.
The Outsider Ardennes also offers a range of accommodation options: a large chalet for 60 people, various camping areas and more.
So you can spend an entire holiday at the door to the Ardennes!

From the monkey bridge to the deathride, not forgetting a climbing wall, the stake of fear and an adventurous raft trip, one thing’s for sure: if you’re feeling adventurous, our adventure park is for you!

Forestia

Forestia is more than just a park, it’s a concept in its own right!
You’ll find 3 major activities: a wildlife park, an adventure park and a climbing park. The animal park invites you to discover more than 300 animals in semi-liberty, divided into around thirty species. The adventure park (for children aged 2 and over) offers 11 tree courses and a giant 120-metre zip line, while the climbing park is a unique concept in Belgium: 6 sections of walls and 12 climbing routes in the forest (for children aged 8 and over, for groups of at least 10 people). And let’s not forget the Forest’bar, a large restaurant-bar with a cool, cosy decor, open for lunch (to park visitors) and dinner (on certain days of the year), overlooking a large play area divided into several zones to suit the age of the children! The little extra: the Forest’shop, the park’s great shop selling fun and natural products that you won’t find anywhere else (or almost anywhere else).

Dinant Evasion

At the confluence of the Lesse and Meuse valleys, in an exceptionally green setting, discover kayaking down the Lesse, the Dinant Aventure park and boat cruises through the wildest reach of the Haute-Meuse.

The town of Dinant and its region, a real gem nestling at the gateway to the Belgian Ardennes, is the ideal destination for a sporting city trip or a relaxing cultural interlude.

The valleys of castles and fortresses, and the foothills of the Lesse and Meuse rivers will appeal to lovers of ruins and history. From the sunny terrace of the boat “Le Copère”, admire the ruins of Poilvache and the Citadel of Dinant, or stop off to visit the castle of Freÿr and its pretty formal gardens.

Take the helm of one of our electric boats and cruise the river between Dinant and the charming village of Anseremme…

Get even closer to the water in one of our super-comfort kayaks, an exclusive model equipped with an ergonomic seat for a relaxing and enjoyable descent. The Lesse is a river that winds its way through a bucolic landscape of castles, caves, nature reserves and pebble beaches, not forgetting the passage of two dams… A 21 or 12 km route, depending on whether you prefer to spend a day immersed in nature, or combine your descent with a second activity in the afternoon.

More comfortable with your feet on the ground? Dinant Aventure welcomes you all year round to the heart of its exceptional 18-hectare park. Whether you’re a first-time adventurer or looking for a thrill, there’s something for everyone! There’s a monkey bridge from 2 to 30 metres high, zip lines, a funcable, a deathride, an underground course, a climbing course, and several attractions that are unique in Belgium: the Vertigo Bridge, nearly 100 metres long; the via vita, a climbing track full of obstacles; the spider’s thread, an abseiling descent into the void; and the pendulum, an incredible jump similar to a breathtaking swing… from a platform 60 metres high!
